Grosset & Dunlap / G&D Book. Good. Hardcover. Small octavo. Originally published in hardcover, in 1947, by Duell, Sloane and Pearce, under the title, 'My Life Story.' The autobiography of one of boxing's most famous names, from his youth on an Alabama farm, to world champion. Salmon-coloured tweed, 197 pages, four black-and-white illustrations. Bumped and worn corners/spine ends, tanned edges, small bookseller's sticker to bottom of front pastedown, the notation "Xmas 1956" to top left corner of front end paper, some minor scrapes to fore-edge, some light foxing to top edges of a few pages. Dust jacket w/edgewear, several short tears along edges, jagged 1" tear to top of rear panel, chipping/tears to spine ends/corners, moderate sunning to spine, impressions/scratches, foxing to reverse..
