In the orange cloth, titled black, very bright and fresh, corners sharp. Slight binding fault ridge towards fore-edge. In the unrestored protected pictorial dust jacket, whose large white areas show some light soiling, grey at the edges and folds; with small chips to the corners, slight fraying to the spine ends, and short tears to the top edge of the pictorial front panel. '5/-' oval price label to spine is stuck over the original 4/- price; and 'Herbert Jenkins Green Labels' is printed on each of the flaps. Latest book advertised at the back is the Jeeves Omnibus of 1931. Super copy in lightly worn jacket.

Synopsis

Jill The Reckless is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.S. on October 11, 1920 by George H. Doran, New York (under the title The Little Warrior), and in the U.K. by Herbert Jenkins, London, on July 4 1921. It was serialised in Collier's Weekly in the U.S. , Maclean's in Canada, and Grand magazine in the UK, all in 1920. The heroine here, Jill Mariner, is a young woman from the lower end of the upper class.
