This is the seventh impression of the UK edition, dated via Jisc. Following the adventures of heroine Jill Mariner, a sweet-natured and wealthy young woman through financial disaster, an adventure with a parrot, a policeman and the colourful proletariat, a broken engagement, an awkward stay with some grasping relatives, employment as a chorus girl, and the finding of true love. Understandably without the dust wrapper designed by Edmund Blampied.G. P. Wodehouse was a prolific English author, regarded as one of the foremost humourists of the 20th century. With six leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally with light shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Back strip darkened, boards marked. Front free endpaper was excised. Front hinges slightly strained, holding firm. Half title present. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting scattered throughout. Jill The Reckless is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.S. on October 11, 1920 by George H. Doran, New York (under the title The Little Warrior), and in the U.K. by Herbert Jenkins, London, on July 4 1921. It was serialised in Collier's Weekly in the U.S. , Maclean's in Canada, and Grand magazine in the UK, all in 1920. The heroine here, Jill Mariner, is a young woman from the lower end of the upper class.
