Folio, first American edition, pp. 211, 1 (note), red cloth boards with gilt stamped lettering to spine and front, gift inscription on free front endpaper, original mylar overwrap, numerous color plates showing the windows Chagall created for a synagogue in Jerusalem, including two original lithographs. Probably the most prized of Chagall's lithographic books. Condition of this book: Dust jacket price clipped, chipping along upper edges. Top edge of book darkening with minor stains. This is the first USA edition. Size: Large Folio (bigger than A3). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
