About This Item

Jeremiah Theus was a portrait artist in Charles Town from 1740-1774. Beside the personal nad professional data concerning the artist, this volume included Biographical Checklist of over 200 of his works. The test of this edition of Mrs. Middleton's book is a faithful copy of the original volume which was published in 1953. New photographs are included in this revised edition and a new plate was used on the dust jacket.

This edition was done by Mrs. Middleton's daughters, Margaret Middleton Rivers and Dorothy Middleton Anderson . This copy is signed by Mrs. Anderson
