Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1948. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo, xxi, 484 pages. In Good plus condition. Spine dark blue with gilt lettering. Boards show slightly age darkened spine, modest rubbing to the head tail edges, small bumps to head fore corner and few, slight scuffs exteriorly. Text block has moderate age toning to the edges. Slight cracking to the front hinge, pencil notations interiorly and to the rear end papers. Frontispiece. Illustrated. Volume one only. First edition. Inscribed by the author. 1373387. FP New Rockville Stock.
