The first ten issues of the first Czech periodical devoted entirely to jazz.

Edited by Emanuel Uggé (1900-1970), one of the key figures of the Czechoslovakian jazz, the magazine was published in the "nylon age" between the two totalitarian regimes, when Czechoslovakian jazz was flourishing, its most important scene being Prague. It was published in 15 issues, between 1947-1948.

The journal includes portraits and articles about Ella Fitzgerald, Don Redman, Tricky Sam Nanton, Duke Ellington, King Cole Trio as well as several book and film reviews and inserted notes about local Czech jazz happenings.

Shortly after the Communist coup in February 1948, Jazz could no longer be published.
