London: George Routledge & Co, 1856. Hardcover. 16mo. Red blind-embossed cloth with ornate spine gilt lettering and decorations. 401pp, 32pp ads. Tissue-guarded frontispiece. Very good. Faint edgewear only. A tight, attractive "Routledge's Standard Novels" edition (so states blind-embossed front board) of this 1836 novel by the popular British naval officer turned novelist (1792-1848). Interesting contemporary Zeta Psi fraternal bookplate on front pastedown. Bright and internally near fine.
