Copy 314 of a limited edition of 950, a very early publication by Peter Pauper Press.In grey printed hard cover with subtle beige stems and flowers on both boards, Some fading, especially to the spine which also has torn edge at the top of the spine. Protected in a cleam, mylar sleeve. Inside, impeccably clean and tight. No former owner marks, no stains or browning. The six page introduction by Tinker celebrates the intense stydy by Hearn of Japanese culture and literature. This is a prize. .
