Nevertheless the author expected the British, Dutch, French and US colonies in the area would be Japan's next target. So in 1940 he spent two and a half month in Malaya, Borneo, the Dutch East Indies and the Philippines attempting to gauge their preparedness. This book is his report of what he found. Good Hardback. The top right corner has been cut out of a front end paper and the half title page, with some loss to a map of the area. The binding is tight, text clear and there is mild tanning throughout.
