First Edition. green, gilt, beveled boards, 40 pp., edge wear along spine, corners, spine ends, ink signatures on front endpaper, else a v.g. copy. The first 12 pages,are a prefatory notice by Edward Ballard outlining the intent of the society which was to report upon the remains of the ancient fortification at Pemaquid; The following 12 pp consist of a Historical Sketch on the ancient city of Jamestown which was built on the peninsula, bearing the name of Pemaquid by Mrs. Maria W Hackelton. The remaining pages contian the poem; Jamestown of Pemaquid. Printed at the Riverside Press, Cambridge Size: 8 Vo.,.
