Very Good/Very Good. 1997 Barbican Art Gallery (London), 10 x 11 inches tall pale blue cloth hardcover in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, dark blue lettering to spine, black endpapers, copiously illustrated with mostly full color photographs and reproductions of art, 143 pp. Very slight edgewear to covers, mainly the lower edge of the front board. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a like dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~SP33~ [3.0P] The 1997 exhibition catalog for James Ensor (1860-1949), Belgian painter and printmaker, and an important influence on expressionism and surrealism who lived in Ostend for most of his life. He was associated with the artistic group Les XX.
