Born Gaston Duchamp into an artistic family -- his siblings Marcel Duchamp, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, and Suzanne Duchamp would all make important contributions to 20th-century art. He was noted as a French Cubist and abstract painter and printmaker. His style driven by mathematical theory through which he married the flat geometric forms of Cubism with a luminous color. Includes 1100 monochromes and 599 original prints, plus prints after other artists. As new copy.
