Text volume: 126 pp. Catalogue volume: 183 pp. Plate volume: 168 pp. This edition of Pope-Hennessy's classic work consists of three individual volumes: text, catalogue, and plates. The author focuses on work by Bernini and Michelangelo, and also discusses the artistic problems presented by statue, relief, portrait, tomb and fountain in the 16th century.
