Signed and inscribed with a lengthy note from the author on the FFEP. First Edition/First Printing. DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ is chipped and worn with closed tears present to the edges of the DJ). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Robert Hobart Davis, journalist, editor, dramatist and photographer was born in Nebraska in 1869. The son of Sylvia Nichols and George Ransome Davis, he spent most of his childhood in Carson City, Nevada. It was in Carson City that Davis gained his first newspaper experience working as a compositor on the Carson City Daily Appeal. Davis began his writing career in earnest in San Francisco where he became a leading reporter for the San Francisco Examiner, the Call and Chronicle. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
