Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1892. Second Edition. Hardcover. Very good. Standard biography of the French classical scholar and theologian. Octavo: 504 p. with [4] p. publisher's ads and a frontispiece portrait. Original green cloth binding, with gilt titles. Period ink inscription in Greek on the front flyleaf, with some light foxing to the endpapers. The spine is moderately darkened, with a bit of wear to the corners and tips; else very good.
