[Thomas Alfred] Jackson (1879-1955) was a self-educated founder of both the Socialist Party of Great Britain and the Communist Party of Great Britain who was noted for his oratory. This history of Ireland is written from that perspective. A rather scarce title, and important due to the connections between the Irish revolutionaries and socialism. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Brown cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; xvi, 443 pages. Indexed. Some very light rubbing to the tips and along the bottom edge; some spotting to the endpapers. else, a Fine copy. The dustjacket is price-clipped and shows wear: chips along the margins, with splits at the flaps. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good (Minus). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
