Description:
New York: The Charter Publishing Co., 1929. Lazenby travelled throuout Ireland during the crucial year of 1922, witnessing events and interviewing many of the famed personalities of the era. Although generally neutral, she reached some rather uncomfortable conclusion about the conflict. A great firsthand account of the times. First published in the UK in 1928, this is a Near Fine copy of the First American Edition, from a year later. Not a common title. Green cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine and front cover. Clean text; x, 246 pages. Square and tight, gilt is a bit dulled, a solid copy. The dustjacket is unclipped; it has a rather striking design of a Bolshevist-kitty dancing with a hammer and cycle on top of a shamrock. Spine somewhat darkened; chipping along the bottom edges. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
