A key bibliography for ornithology, here in a good large-format reprint which greatly enhances the ease of reading the mass of detail provided in the notes. There is a 146 page introduction, consisting of 19 chapters with very good guides and references to the 19th century and earlier literature. This is followed by a classified index which gives the most important title by any one author, the rest being discovered by referring to the entries under the author in the main catalogue (pp 175-643). Many of the catalogue entries are well-annotated. Half-title a little marked, otherwise Near Fine.
