Secaucus, NJ: Chartwell Books, 1989. Possibly a First Edition, with no later printing history provided, this Art Instructional book is in Fine condition with a Fine dust jacket. (Click on photo.) The book is bound in chocolate brown boards with die-stamped silver spine lettering. The dust jacket has light edge curl and a tiny 1/8 inch tear on the rear panel. There is a crossed-out signature of the original owner on the front endpaper. Each chapter is devoted to a particular type of drawing: landscape, still life, townscape and buildings, nature, portrait and the figure, and animals, and the challenges of each facing the artist. The book is filled with color examples from the world's finest artists. The book measures 8 3/4 by 11 1/4 inches and includes 128 pages. . Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
