His text is lavishly illustrated in a way that does full justice to the beautiful and bizarre qualities of these remarkable plants. the dust jacket is rubbed with 1/8 of an inch tear at the bottom of the spine section, slight abrasion at the top right of the buff front end paper, with a slight chip at that point, possibly insect damage, but no other damage evident throughout the book.
