About This Item

New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1964. Edge and corner wear to the dj, scuffed, scratched and discolored, chipping at the head and tail of the spine of the dj, corners are lightly bumped and rubbed, some light shelf wear, former owner's name in ink on the outer page edges, overall a nice used copy! Blue cloth with white lettering on the front cover and spine. Dj is nicely preserved in a brand new protective mylar plastic cover! 211 unmarked and uncreased informative and educational pages! "This book is intended chiefly to serve as a textbook for a second-semester course in statistics for students in the behavioral sciences. I have assumed that the reader will have mastered the contents of a first-semester introductory statistics course, including at least the mean and standard deviation, two-variable product-moment correlation, and the basic concepts of sampling theory. Until recent years, the practice in most universities has been to follow such a course with another semester course emphasizing experimental design but including also some material on multiple correlation, reliability, and validity. however, the scope of these topics has been so expanded that it is now very difficult to discuss all of them in one semester except in a superficial manner." ---- from the Preface.. Blue Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
