Hardback in dustwrapper. 21.5 × 14cm, 610pp. This copy comes from the library of Fleur Cowles, the American writer, artist and founder of Flair magazine, and has been signed by John Gunther, "For Fleur and Tom always, John, NY Jan 67". Tom was Fleur Cowles' fourth husband, Tom Montague Meyer. Fleur Cowles' library plate by Sotherans is also pasted in. John Gunther's eighth "Inside" book, and this one explores the ten South American republics: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
