First Edition but can't tell if this is a first printing because 'Autographed Copy' sticker is over the number line. Hardcover Book and Jacket in Very Good Condition. Cloth backed with silver titles to spine; very clean, slight rubbing to lower edge, else Fine. Internals as new. Bright and clean unclipped jacket has a chip to upper edge near spine head and a quarter inch tear to rear spine heel edge. When the author left his comfortable middle-class life in Aspen and set out to find unharnessed wilderness, he found Blackfish Sound in the Inside Passage, the rugged coastline between Seattle and Alaska. He describes his experiences in this wilderness setting and the physical challenges, the friendships he formed with passing yachters, fishermen, Kwakiutl Indians, loners, and the owner of the house he was living in.
