Map illustrated endpapers, both different, front-end paper showing Australia and its major physical features, the rear endpaper: – showing south-east Australia, New Guinea and New Zealand. There are three maps illustrating the text. Aqua coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Plain text dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The ninth, and last, of the author's "Inside" series of books on various countries, this one dealing with Australia and New Zealand. The book was completed and edited by William H. Forbis on the death of John Gunther when he had but finished half the book. Rubbing to the backstrip edges and book corners with softening of the backstrip edges. Age toning of the textbook edges and pages. Creasing to the dust that edges and rubbing to the dust at panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [9], X - XI, [4], 2-370 pages,.
