New York: B.W. Huebsch, 1918. Veblen (1857-1929) had a difficult academic career; brilliant and original as an economist, he remains both important and hard to classify. Commissioned by Woodrow Wilson, this study was first published April 1917; this is a Near Fine copy of the Third Printing, from March of 1918. Green cloth binding, ruled on the covers; gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; xiii, 367 pages, some unopened; with three pages of ads for Veblen's works in the rear. Two small labels on front & rear paste-downs. Light bumping; else a Fine copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Later Printing.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
