About This Item
London, 1 May 1971.. 19,[1]pp. Folio tabloid format, pictorial self- wrapper.. Illustrated. Horizontal fold, as issued, slight fraying to a couple extended fore-edges, uniform slight tanning, very good. Whole number one of 29 numbers published. Founded by OZ editor Richard Neville, first as a weekly, then as a biweekly. It was managed by Richard Neville, Andrew Fisher, Ed Victor and Felix Dennis. The controversy and expenses associated with the 1973 OZ obscenity trial dictated its short life. An initialed inscription at the top margin of the cover pages identifies it as "Ed Victor's mag - RC."
