Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1911. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 16mo. (approx. 5.75" x 4.25"). 208 pages. Illustrated. Black cloth hardcover with gilt title on the front cover and the spine. Ex-institutional copy with a blind embossed stamp from the Cayuga Historical Society and a stamped date of March 23 1938 on the title page. A partial paper label on the spine. This copy has 4 stamps "From Headquarters, National Guard, N. Y. Room 161, 280 B'way New York." on the front and rear end papers. This copy is also signed twice (on the right front flyleaf and on the rear paste down) by General William Kirby, a former Confederate prisoner of War captured at Beach Grove, North Carolina in 1864.
