(Antonio Vicente) Marafioti (Garnica) , a mathematician from Brazil who has written papers on mathematics education. Marafioti's name done neatly with a black Magic Marker on front free endpaper and the number 66402 witten beneath his name. He has also signed his name in blue ball point pen on front pastedown. Some shelfwear on bottom cover edges. DJ is soiled and has light wear at the spine ends. The author is concerned with methods of guessing at mathematical truths and solutions. He takes the reader through a wide variety of mathematical problems, showing steps to solutions, pointing out false bypaths, discussing techniques of searching for proofs .
