Plaistow, Privately printed at the Curwen Press, 1934 1st Limited Edition of 100 copies, This number 96.. 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Full vellum binding, gilt lettering to spine, full gilt page edging. In later hard book-fold case. In very good near fine condition. With very good later box-case. Partial label and glue mark to front endpaper (label removed). Slight crack between front prelim and halftitle page. Else binding all tight and sound. Pages all very clean and tight throughout. Numbered 96 by Florence Hardy “F.E.H.” An excellent limited edition copy. 89pp; An adaptation by the author of his first novel: THE POOR MAN AND THE LADY which was never published. The manuscript was later destroyed by Hardy and no copy remains. The story has, therefore, an interest which far outweighs its intrinsic merits. (Purdy).
