This is NOT a reprint or ebook; it is the original first edition, published in 1880. . The first history of Indiana University, by a scholar who was extremely versatile and who was said to have installed the first telephone in the state of Indiana. Illustrated with very early photos of the first buildings. The history consists of an introductory essay, the history of the Indiana Seminary (which became Indiana University) , and a history of Indiana University. Also included are lists of Presidents, Professors, and Graduates. Invaluable for geneological research as well as the early history of Indiana University.
