About This Item
London: Macmillan and Co., Ltd, 1920. Hardcover. Good. Octavo (21 cm) xi, 328 pp + map. Green cloth. Our copy includes a October 29, 1936 letter from the author to "Dear Foster" (presumably Sir William Foster, mentioned in the book's preface). Book is from the private collection of historian Frederick A. Hagar and was acquired while he attended Cambridge. Book shows some red underlining; notes on the back endpaper; and a separate page of notes (whether these were made by Foster, Hagar, or someone else is unclear).
