About This Item

In about AD1438 the Inca prince, Pachacuti routed an enemy and embarked on the building of an empire. Over the next 100 years he, his son and grandson built the Inca empire along the western coast of South America stretching 2,500 miles from Ecuador into Chile, and appropriating riches, assimilating cultures, and demanding tribute in the form of labour to build monumental works of architecture and engineering. Then in 1532 Pizarro and his 200 followers ended it all. 200 pages with (mostly colour) nearly 150 photographs by the author, and 20 paintings by Louis Glanzman. Book in very good+ condition. Dust jacket in good condition with some small knocks, chips and tears (see photo).
