In this compilation one can find fine examples of the work of such classic parodists as Brete Hart, Sir Max Beerbohm, Robert Benchley, E.V. Knox, Rudyard Kipling, G.K. Chesterton, etc, etc. Modern parodists are not neglected....well known writers and humorists find a place in E.O. Parrott's anthology. Roger Woodis, Woody Allan. Peter de Vries, etc. to name but a few. The book contains a good deal of material not previously published, much of it taken from literary competitions, a field in which the editor has been active for over 30 years. Bright blue boards, no ownership markings. Bottom edge of front board shows bumping. Bottom corner of rear board is bumped. The book and illustrated dust jacket remain bright and very clean.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good.
