Translated From the Latin of Thomas A Kempis by John Payne. 8vo, original full leather binding with gilt border on covers & edges. Xliv + 341pp. Outer binding in poor condition with front board loose, cracked at spine & wear to corners, marbled endpapers, Hardwicke Knight's bookplate on front pastedown. Inner book generally clean & in very good condition.
