Plus 27 hand-coloured plates, each with its tissue guard, drawn and coloured from nature by the author. Green blind-stamped cloth with gilt title and decoration to the spine. Cloth worn and frayed at head and foot of spine and splits to cloth at upper and lower corners. Spine faded, boards, although retaining much of their colour, have areas of moderate fading and a few small ink marks near front edge. Original yellow endpapers with loss to top corner of front pastedown. Rear inner hinge cracked and loose but binding tight. Plates generally clean and bright with some slight discolouration to margins. Pencilled note inside rear endpaper reads "Collated & Complete/ M. B. Quaritch" and initialled "HR." Good.
