About This Item
New York: The International News Company, 1943. 1st Edition. Cloth. Very Good. Folio. 26 weekly issues, (July.2, to Dec. 25), bound together, approximately 29 pages each. Bound in black cloth with titles on spine in gilt. Photographs and both b&w and color illustrations throughout including a great portrait of the not-yet-21 future Queen, Princess Elizabeth. Iconic issues of the weekly newspaper focusing on WWII raging around the world. Very well-preserved, square, tight and generally clean throughout with little or no toning or foxing. Some fairly mild rubbing to edges and tips. Some discoloration spots on boards. A couple of internal, unobtrusive tape repairs. Small library stamp on the front paste-down but no other library markings whatsoever. A very handsome collectable set and quite uncommon in any condition. Please note: International and Priority orders will require additional postage.
