New York: The International News Company, 1939. 1st Edition. Cloth. Very Good. Folio. 18 weekly issues, (Sept.2, to Dec. 30), bound together, approximately 34 pages each. Bound in black cloth with titles on spine in gilt. Photographs and both b&w and color illustrations throughout. Iconic issues of the weekly newspaper capturing the early days of WWII and its effect on the city and country. Very well-preserved, square, tight and generally clean throughout with little or no toning or foxing. Some fairly mild rubbing to edges and tips. Some discoloration spots on the rear board. Spine gilt dulling. One 4x5 photo clipped from an interior page. A very handsome collectable set and quite uncommon in any condition. Please note: International and Priority orders will require additional postage.
