Bound in paper-covered boards with gilt lettering, and an unclipped dust wrapper. Ian V. Hogg (1926 – 2002) was a notable British author of books on firearms, artillery, ammunition, and fortification, as well as biographies of several famous general officers. During World War II he served in Europe and in eastern Asia. In the early 1950s, he served in the Korean War. Upon retiring in 1972, he held the appointment of Master Gunner at the Royal Military College of Science, where he taught on the subjects of firearms, artillery, and their ammunition and use. After retiring from the military, he pursued the career of military author and historian. Bound in paper-covered boards with gilt lettering, and an unclipped dust wrapper. The binding is tight and firm. There is some slight wear to the extremities, including some slight bumping to the top and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper has mild spotting and discolouration. Internally the pages are clean and bright, with some very mild spotting to the endpapers. There is an ink inscription on the front free-endpaper. Very Good
