London & New York: Samuel French, Ltd., 1920 [1925]. Early Edition. wraps. Near Fine. Printed green-blue wraps (5-1/2" x 8-1/2"); 71, [1] pages plus covers. Coward's First Book and his first play produced in the West End. At the age of 20, he also performed in the role of Bobbie. The play ran for a month at the New Theatre (later renamed the Noel Coward Theatre) and was also Coward's first play in America. This copy lists two other works by Coward--THE YOUNG IDEA and HAY FEVER--dating this to 1925. SIGNED by the author on the half-title page and scarce as such.
