Stated First Edition (""First printed 1935""); 1st printing- no note of further ones. Top edge of text block dark red, bottom edge rough-cut, b/w photo frontis & text illus. White DJ is Good; shows soil, light rubbing, sun discolor to spine, minimal edge wear. Still, it's all there & firmly together. Book is Fine. Red cloth binding is tight, square, clean, & bright w/ NO wear. All gold spine lettering crisp & intact. Text is tight, clean, unmarked w/ a hint of toning. NO hinge splits, owner name, gift notes or remainder mark; NOT ex library or book club. DJ & book both display very well. Handsome, well preserved copy.
