As part of an 8 man team, the author describes his Arctic adventure--he crossed 500 miles of the frozen Arctic Sea ice, endured -55 degree temperatures, and traveresed incredibly difficult terrain. Nicely illustrated with many color photos and colorful end paper maps. Amway of Grand Rapids, MI was a sponsor of this expedition, and there is an Amway presentation bookplate is on front end paper. This is nice clean and tight copy that appears to have been unread. ; Color Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 254 pages .
