Chronicles the life of the last surviving member of the Dada movement that began in bohemian New York City in 1916 with artists Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Picabia, & other. An early feminist, Ms Wood was "the definitive free spirit,'' maintaining her independence & her studio in Ojai, California, until her death at age 105 in 1998. First published in 1985 by Dilllingham, this is the 1988 Revised Chronicle Books Edition, the third printing from 1992. Oversized softcover 4to (8.25" x 10.50") has white wrappers with photos of the author to front & back. It is actually a Brand New book, purchased at a 1992 exhibition at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA, with reception card laid in, along with other clippings & magazine articles about the artist, including an invitation to a later (1996) exhibition of her ceramics held in La Jolla CA. Condition is Fine: still looks new inside & out! Completely clean, binding straight & strong, pages white & unmarked.
