A VERY GOOD EARLY Edition with the Scribner "A" on copyright page and the same publishing date on both the title and the copyright page, but lacking "First Published' slug. No Jacket. A prev. owner name on blank front free end-paper, dated 1953. End-papers have age-toned where jacket flaps once laid. Interior pages have lightly scattered foxing at gutter areas, no other markings. Spine cloth at crown and foot just starting to fray; barely worn corners. Illustrated with fabulous maps and b/w photographs. Frazier Hunt was a war correspondent during WWI and WWII, who wrote historical biographies. A full Bibliography and Index at rear. 236 Pages.
