Macmillan & Co. Ltd., 1867. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1867. No Edition Remarks. 442 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Paper covered boards with cloth to spine. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Light foxing and noticeable tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Annotations, underlining and marginalia in pencil throughout; text remains unaffected. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with prominent loss, fraying and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
