About This Item
London: Macmillan, 1993. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing 1993, of this trade printing of the previous limited edition letter and block press edition. Hardback back book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean. Title gilt perfect. Spine ends and board corners sharp. Text block clean, with perfect gilt edges. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Feels tightly bound and hardly read. The glassine jacket has some very minor shelf wear, and is not cracked or with any losses. Fine condition. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A fine copy of this beautifully produced volume, very attractive and would make a lovely addition to any collection.
Synopsis
If-and the thing is wildly possible-the charge of writing nonsense were ever brought against the author of this brief but instructive poem, it would be based, I feel convinced, on the line (in p.4)
