Publisher's green cloth with titles and design in black to spine and colour illustration to front board. Light shelfwear to boards. Lower corners lightly bumped. Small gouge to upper edge of rear board. All edges died yellow. Ownership signature to first page. Offsetting from something stored in gutter of book on two pages and a few occasional smudges throughout, else a clean and bright copy. With 12 full-page colour illustrations by John R. Neill. very good An attractive copy of the first issue of the first edition of this Oz book. The Hungry Tiger of Oz is the 20th in the Oz series and is the 6th by Ruth Plumly Thompson. The engaging illustrations are by John Neil, who illustrated upwards of 40 of the Oz novels. 1926
