Synopsis
The story is set in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, where a wealthy Capitol rules over twelve impoverished districts. Each year, one boy and one girl from each district are chosen to participate in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death. When Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the Games, she becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed people of Panem. I feel this is a very overrated series. If Gale was a GAIL nobody would care about it. It also focused way too much on the violence.
