About This Item

Nottingham: Privately Printed - Julien Cahn, 1938. Lovely colour frontispiece of a cricketing jug circa 1840 especially drawn for the book by Sir William Nicholson. A further 28 full page bw photographic plates support the text throughout. Has the famous heraldic N.C.C.C. monogram to the front board. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions. Book is tight and square. Title lettering to spine remains clear and definite. Bound in the cloth covered hardboards which are a little soiled with age but overall this is a most presentable copy which certainly belies its age.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. FIRST EDITION.
