About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown & Co, 1982. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 9x7x1. Signed by Author. From the collection of sociologist Ira L. Reiss, with his ink stamp on front paste-down. Warmly inscribed by all three authors to Reiss on front end page, dated February 1982. Dr. Reiss was a pioneering researcher and educator whose work, primarily at the University of Minnesota and as a charter member and director of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex, aimed to broaden the theoretical and scientific framework used in the study of human sexuality, the family and gender roles. He is listed in the Acknowledgments section of this book (which Dr. Reiss helpfully underlined in his copy), and thanked by the authors for his "thoughtful input" to this work in their inscription. Little, Brown & Co., 1982; First Printing with full number line; xxi, 547pp. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; minor wear to edges of pictorial cloth boards; photos, illustrations and text very good throughout. Due to the size/weight of this book extra charges will apply for international and/or expedited shipping.
